All along White Hart Lane and the surrounding streets, drivers are allowed by the council to park on the pavement. This means that the pavement space available for pedestrians is very narrow in most places. It's difficult for two people to walk next to each other, so it's generally not a pleasant space to be if you are out walking. There are places on some of the side streets where pedestrians have to walk in the road because drivers take up so much space on the pavement. There's definitely no space for social distancing when two pedestrians need to pass each other. The council needs to remove cars from the pavements and just tell people that if they don't have a private space to park their car then they shouldn't own a car because very few people actually need a private car in London. Provide a car sharing scheme instead.
