The northeast-bound existing cycle lane here is completely ignored by car drivers who form two lanes to turn right and left immediately when entering from Cross Deep and Heath Road. There are no markings to merge, both roads widen to 2 lanes at the junction but there is barely enough space for 2 lanes of traffic and definitely not enough space for 2 lanes + a cycle lane.

The lane should be made segregated to force traffic to merge, or the entire road should be widened and marked to allocate 2 car lanes + 1, or possibly continue the bus/bike lanes that exist along both Heath Rd and Cross Deep
